MOT Testing in Bletchley, Milton Keynes

Book your MOT at a time that suits you

An MOT checks key areas of your vehicle's safety and roadworthiness. Our team carries out the MOT test at our Bletchley MOT centre and can explain the result clearly, including any items that need attention. If additional work is needed, we discuss the next step with you before any repair is arranged.

MOT Class 4 & Class 7 testing

Class 4 covers cars, motorcycles with a sidecar, motor caravans and small vans up to 3,000kg. Class 7 covers larger vans between 3,000kg and 3,500kg. Both tests check the same core safety areas, including brakes, tyres, steering and suspension, lights, seatbelts, exhaust emissions, bodywork condition and the vehicle identification number, along with the other statutory checks set out by the DVSA. When booking, provide your vehicle details and preferred appointment time so that we can prepare for your visit.

What to bring to your MOT

Bring your V5C logbook if you have it, along with your MOT reminder or previous certificate if you have one to hand. These aren't required by law but help us confirm your vehicle details quickly. The test itself usually takes around 45 to 60 minutes, though this can vary depending on how busy the workshop is on the day.

What happens after your MOT

If your vehicle passes, we issue your MOT certificate and update the DVSA record straight away, and you're free to drive off. An advisory means the vehicle has passed but something is worth keeping an eye on or repairing soon, such as tyre wear approaching the legal limit. If your vehicle fails, common causes include worn brakes or a fault we can pinpoint with diagnostics — we'll explain exactly what needs fixing and can quote you for the repair there and then, so you can get the work done and retested without going elsewhere.
